In this article, we will guide you through how to display product metafields on an Ecombe page.
Product metafields are custom data fields in Shopify that allow you to store and display additional product information beyond the default fields such as product name, price, description, or images.
Metafields are commonly used to manage product-specific data, for example: materials, size charts, usage instructions, technical specifications, videos, or custom marketing content.
By using product metafields, you can:
Organize product data in a flexible and structured way
Easily connect data with Ecombe Page Builder to display the right content in the right place
Reduce manual updates when managing information across multiple products
In short, Product Metafields help you extend product data management and display product information in a more professional and consistent way across your store.
You can display Product Metafields in Ecombe Featured Product whether you already have Metafields created or you need to set them up from scratch.
Before proceeding, make sure that:
The Product Metafield already exists in Shopify
The Metafield has been assigned a value to the Product
You have the correct Metafield key (namespace.key)
If you already have product Metafields set up, you can Use Existing Product Metafields and move directly to Connect the Product Metafield to Ecombe Featured Product.
If your already has product metafields:
Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Metafields and metaobjects → Products
Open the existing Metafield definition you want to use
Make sure the Metafield has a value assigned to the product
If you don’t have Product Metafields yet, follow the steps below to create one before connecting it to Ecombe Featured Product.
Go to Shopify Settings → Metafields and metaobjects → Products
On the Product metafield definitions page, click Add definition to create a new metafield.
In the Add product metafield definition screen, enter the required information such as Name, Type, and Category assignments (optional).
Click Save to store your settings.
After successfully creating the metafield, Shopify will generate the Metafield namespace and key for you.
By default, the format is namespace.key.
You will need to enter this exact key in Ecombe Featured Product.
Once the metafield is created, you need to assign it to a product.
Go to Products in Shopify Admin, open a product, then scroll down to the Product Metafields section and enter the value for the Metafield.
Once the metafield is ready (existing or newly created):
Open the page in Ecombe Page Builder
Add or select the Collapsible content element
Enter the exact metafield key (namespace.key) into the corresponding metafield field
Save and publish the page
The product metafield content will now be displayed in the Ecombe Featured Product.
After completing the steps above, the product metafield will be successfully displayed in the Ecombe Featured Product.

The metafield has not been assigned a value for the product
The metafield key (namespace.key) is entered incorrectly

Copy the metafield key exactly from Shopify (do not add extra spaces)
