Don't worry, a collection or product template can be assigned to all or many different products or collections.

#### **3. What happens if I downgrade to a free plan?**

Free plan has only 1 publish slot so the system will ask you to unpublish pages to draft page and leave only 1 published page.

You can read more about create a new page with Ecombe [here](/getting-started/setup-and-quick-start/create-a-new-page).

### **About Ecombe subscription Plan**

The number of pages and sections which you want to publish can be limited due to your Ecombe plan.

Your pricing plan will be depended on the published page you want.

### Seven Supported Page Types

**Regular page**

A standalone page used for general content or campaigns. Common examples include About Us, FAQ, Contact Us, or dedicated landing pages for promotions.

**Homepage**

The main storefront page visitors see first. It highlights your brand identity, featured products, collections, promotions, and serves as the core navigation entry to the store.

**Collection page**

A page that displays a group of products belonging to the same category. Ideal for organizing items by theme, type, or season—helping customers explore your catalog easily.

**Product page**

The detailed page for each individual product. It includes product images, descriptions, variants, pricing, reviews, and purchase options—crucial for driving conversions.

**Blog page**

A page that lists all blog posts in your store. It helps merchants publish articles, guides, updates, or announcements to educate customers and improve SEO.

**Blog post page**

A page for the content of a single blog article. It includes the full post, featured image, author info, and related content—useful for storytelling and content marketing.

**Shopify Section**

A reusable layout section that can be embedded directly in Shopify's Theme Editor. Ideal for merchants who want to build custom UI blocks and add them to their theme without creating an entire page.

### How to choose page type?

Ecombe automatically selects the suitable page type based on the Use Case you choose.\
For example:

This ensures that each page is created with the correct Shopify structure and behaves properly when published.

# How to use product reviews

This guide explains how to display **product star ratings and reviews** in Ecombe templates, including how each display mode works and where product reviews can appear.

## Overview

**Product reviews** are a key component for displaying customer feedback on your products. In Ecombe templates, product reviews are divided into two main types:

* **Product reviews (text reviews)**\
  Written feedback from customers, allowing them to share their experiences, opinions, and detailed insights about a product.
* **Star ratings**\
  A quick visual rating system using stars (from 1 to 5), enabling customers to evaluate a product at a glance.

In Ecombe templates, Product Reviews are supported in:

* **Featured Product**
* **Featured Collection**

## Why Product Reviews Are Important

Product reviews play a critical role in the shopping experience by:

* Increasing trust and credibility for your products
* Improving click-through rates and conversion rates
* Providing quick, visual feedback for potential buyers
* Helping customers feel more confident when choosing products that have already been reviewed by others

## Requirements Before You Start

To display product reviews, you need to install a review app. Ecombe will automatically connect to your review app and display the reviews.

We recommend the following review apps:

* **Judge.me Reviews**
* **Okendo**
* **Trustoo.io Reviews**

If you already have a product review app installed and configured, you can proceed to the next section.

## How to display Product rating in Featured Collection

In **Featured Collection**, product reviews are displayed **as star ratings only**.

The Product Review setting has **three display modes**:&#x20;

#### **1. None**&#x20;

Star ratings are not displayed on the page.

<figure><img src="/files/pk0qa14kS5QnDvE8PqwQ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 2. Sample Data

Displays **demo star ratings** inside the Editor for preview purposes. On the **live page**, real data from your review app will be shown instead.

<figure><img src="/files/5mXIezhI5Wscvi7E7yGD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 3. Real data

Displays **real product rating data directly in the Editor**, exactly as it appears on the live page. Ratings are pulled from the connected third-party review app.

If a product has no reviews yet, "No reviews" will be displayed if the product does not have any reviews yet.

<figure><img src="/files/IeBDsbpb0Hpx0eU8d4pz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## How to display Product Reviews in Featured Product&#x20;

In **Featured Product**, product reviews can be displayed in multiple formats, depending on what your review app supports, such as:

* Review text
* Review carousel
* Testimonial carousel
* Other review widgets provided by your review app

#### How to Add Product Reviews app block into a Featured Product

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Install and fully configure your product review app in your Shopify store

# How to setup Color swatches

This article introduces **what Color Swatches are** and guides you on **how to display Color Swatches on an Ecombe page**.

## What are **Color Swatches**

**Color Swatches** are a visual way of displaying product variants or options. Most commonly shown as color blocks, circles, or small images. Allowing customers to choose by seeing rather than reading text.

Specifically, **Color Swatches** help to:

* **Simplify the variant selection process** by making it easy for customers to compare and choose the desired color or style at a glance.
* **Provide instant visual feedback**, as selecting a swatch updates the main product image to reflect the chosen option.
* **Enhance visual appeal and interactivity**, making the product page feel more engaging and modern.
* **Reduce cognitive load and decision fatigue** by presenting options visually instead of relying on text-based lists.
* **Improve layout efficiency**, since swatches take up less space than text labels or dropdowns, especially when many options are available.
* **Represent colors and patterns more accurately**, ensuring the product’s appearance on the website stays consistent with the brand’s aesthetic.

In summary, **Color Swatches are a visual method for presenting product variants that improves usability, clarity, and overall user experience on a product page**.

## Where do Ecombe Color Swatches get their data from?

Ecombe provides **two data sources** for displaying Color Swatches:

* **Shopify Settings**

  Ecombe Color Swatches pull data directly from the product variants configured in your Shopify Admin.
* **App Settings**

  Ecombe Color Swatches use data configured in **Ecombe App Settings**.

  Please refer to this article to learn how to add swatches in **Ecombe App Settings**.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Common issues

### **When should I use App Settings?**

If your store has many products, using Swatches from Shopify Settings requires manually editing each product to add variant options, which can be very time-consuming.

Instead, you can use **Ecombe Swatch Colors**. With this method, you only need to configure swatches once in **Ecombe Preferences**, saving significant time compared to editing each product individually.

Please refer to this article to learn how to add swatches in **Ecombe App Settings**.

### What is the difference between **Variant Image** and **Variant Style: Color / Image**?

#### What is **Variant Image**

**Variant Image** refers to the image assigned to each product variant.

This option allows the swatch (variant selector) to display the **actual product image** for each variant.

#### What is **Variant Style: Color / Image**

The **Variant Style: Color / Image** option allows the swatch selector to be displayed as:

* **Color swatch**: solid colors such as blue, red, yellow, etc.
* **Image swatch**: fabrics, textures, or patterns.

#### How to use

* Choose **Variant Image** if:
  * You want the swatch to display **real product images**
  * You don’t want to prepare separate swatch assets
* Choose **Variant Style: Color / Image** if:
  * You want the swatch to display **specific colors or patterns**
  * You want a clean and consistent swatch design

This guide explains what **Product Images with Alt** is, how it works, and how to set it up correctly in Shopify.

## Overview

**Product Images with Alt** allows product images to change dynamically based on the selected variant.

When a customer selects a variant (for example, **Black**), only images that belong to that variant will be displayed. This helps customers view the correct product version without confusion.

## How It Works

The feature uses **image alt text** to determine which images should be shown.

* When a variant is selected
* The system looks for product images whose **alt text matches the variant name**
* Only matching images are displayed
* All other images are hidden

## Example

* Selected variant: **Black**
* Displayed images: Images with alt text **“Black”**
* Hidden images: Images with other alt values (e.g. “White”, “Red”)

## Before You Start

Make sure that:

* Your product has **variants** (such as Color, Style, or Finish)
* Each variant has its own set of images
* You use **exactly the same wording** for variant names and alt text (case-sensitive)

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open the Product in Shopify Admin

1. Go to **Shopify Admin**
2. Click **Products**
3. Select the product you want to apply **Product Images with Alt**

<figure><img src="/files/U6PBTWJRcnNHDHnNk3z4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Add Alt Text to Product Images

You must assign the **variant name** as the alt text for each corresponding product image.

**Example**

If the variant name is **“Natural Oak”**, all images of that variant must have:

```
Alt text: Natural Oak
```

**How to add alt text:**

1. Click on a product image.
2. In the image details panel, find the **Alt text** field under **Information** then **enter the variant name.**
3. Click **Save.**

Repeat this process for **all variant images**.

<figure><img src="/files/r29vi6ho8ph4z7bv0IGI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/0GKrco7TgGqDeYm5qwn4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Enable “Media by Alt”

1. Go to your **Template** and Open the **Featured Product** section.
2. Enable the **Media by Alt** option then **save** the changes.

<figure><img src="/files/zuDk6YCcw3y5GzcN120B" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/0IWTbFKZpNCPE3o4Vmrn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Result

Once enabled:

* Selecting a variant will no longer slide to a single image
* Instead, **all images matching the selected variant’s alt text will be displayed**
* Customers see only relevant images for the chosen variant

<figure><img src="/files/t2fACBQucAgu1QW7aYN7" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Best Practices

* Use **exact variant names** for alt text (no extra words)
* Avoid mixing formats (e.g. use “Black”, not “Black color”)
* Make sure every variant has at least one image with matching alt text
* If no images match the alt text, no images will be filtered

### Common Issues

**Images do not change when selecting a variant**

* Check if alt text exactly matches the variant name
* Ensure “Media by Alt” is enabled in the section

**Only one image appears**

* Make sure all images for that variant use the same alt text

  * **Pick up**

  <figure><img src="/files/09fF3YJ6FE86IHK738LB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Note:** Pickup at store will **not be displayed** if:

* The product is out of stock at the location
* Local pickup is not enabled for the location
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

## Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

→ **No.** Pickup at store is not enabled per product. Instead, it is:

* Enabled per **Location**
* Applied to **all products with inventory at that location**

#### Can I hide pickup for a specific product?

# Discount

This article will introduce you to the Discount feature, the types of discounts supported by Shopify, and how to set up automatic discounts to work with Ecombe Product bundles.

## Overview

### Introduction to Shopify Discounts

**Discounts** are a built-in Shopify feature that allows merchants to offer promotions and incentives to customers during the shopping and checkout process. Discounts help encourage purchases, increase conversion rates, and support marketing campaigns such as seasonal sales, product launches, or special offers.

In Shopify, discounts can be applied at different levels of the cart and checkout, including products, the entire order, or shipping fees. Discounts can be created as **automatic discounts** or **discount codes**, depending on how you want customers to receive the promotion.

Understanding how Shopify discounts work is essential to ensure your promotions apply correctly and provide a smooth customer experience.

### What is an Automatic Discount

An **automatic discount** is a type of discount that is applied automatically when a customer meets the required conditions. Customers do not need to enter a discount code at checkout.

Automatic discounts are commonly used to:

* Reduce friction at checkout
* Ensure eligible customers always receive the promotion
* Run site-wide or conditional promotions

**Examples:**

* Automatically apply 10% off when the order total exceeds $100
* Automatically apply a Buy X Get Y promotion when required items are added to the cart

Shopify allows only **one automatic discount of each type** to be active at the same time.

## Discount Types in Shopify

Shopify provides several discount types, each designed for different promotional goals.

### Amount off discounts

**Amount off discounts** reduce the price by a fixed amount or a percentage.

They can be applied to:

* Specific products or collections
* The entire order (order-level discounts)

**Common use cases:**

* 20% off selected products
* $30 off orders over $200

### Buy X Get Y discounts

**Buy X Get Y discounts** reward customers when they purchase a specific quantity or product.

This discount type encourages customers to add more items to their cart.

Important behavior to note:

* Customers must manually add the eligible “Get” product to the cart
* Shopify applies the discount automatically once all conditions are met

**Common use cases:**

* Buy 2, get 1 free
* Buy 3 items and get a free gift

### Free shipping discounts

**Free shipping discounts** reduce or remove shipping costs for eligible orders.

They help reduce checkout friction and improve conversion rates.

These discounts can be limited by:

* Minimum order value
* Shipping zones
* Shipping methods

**Common use cases:**

* Free shipping on orders over $100
* Free domestic shipping

### Amount off order

**Amount off order** is a type of amount off discount that applies directly to the **order total**, rather than individual products.

This discount is calculated based on the order subtotal (before tax and shipping) and is commonly used for site-wide promotions.

**Common use cases:**

* 10% off the entire order
* $25 off orders over $150

### Summary

* **Discounts** help drive sales and improve customer experience
* **Automatic discounts** apply automatically when conditions are met
* Shopify supports multiple discount types, including:
  * Amount off discounts
  * Buy X Get Y discounts
  * Free shipping discounts
  * Amount off order discounts

Each discount type serves a different purpose and can be combined with other discounts depending on your store’s discount combination settings.

# Enable Ecombe Analytics

This guide walks you through how to set up and connect Google Analytics with Ecombe. By integrating Google Analytics, you can track page performance, enable accurate A/B testing results, and access detailed page analytics. Follow this setup to ensure all visitor data is captured correctly and your optimization tools work as expected.

## Google Analytic, what’s that?

**Google Analytics** is a web analytics tool developed by Google. It allows store owners to monitor website traffic and user behavior across their site. Key metrics include pageviews, sessions, bounce rate, traffic sources, device types, and more.

For Shopify users, connecting Google Analytics helps clarify how visitors interact with your store. Where they come from, what pages they visit, and how they convert. This data is foundational for making informed decisions about marketing, layout, and content performance.

## Why Do I Need Google Analytics?

When you set up Google Analytics, a tracking tag is added to your website. This tag collects data each time someone visits your site or performs an action (such as clicking a button or making a purchase). These interactions are recorded as “events” in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), the newest version of the platform.

If you are building your store with Ecombe, you may be customizing layouts, running A/B tests, or optimizing your product pages. Google Analytics supports this process by providing measurable insights into how users engage with each version of your designs.

## How to Set Up Google Analytics (GA4) for Your Shopify Store

### Step 1: Create a Google Account

To use Google Analytics, you need a Google account. If you already have one, you can skip this step. However, we recommend creating a dedicated account specifically for tracking and analytics to keep everything organized.

If you don’t have an account yet:

* Visit: [**accounts.google.com/signup**](https://accounts.google.com/signup)
* Enter your information to create a new account

### Step 2: Create a Google Analytics Account

* Visit [**analytics.google.com**](https://analytics.google.com)
* Sign in with your Google account
* Click **Start Measuring**
* In the account setup screen:

  **Enter an account name** (e.g., “My Shopify Store Analytics”).\
  You can leave the data-sharing settings as default or adjust them based on your store’s privacy policy.

  Click **Next** to continue.

### Step 3: Create a GA4 Property

In Google Analytics, a **property** represents a specific digital asset you want to track—this could be a website, mobile app, blog, or any digital product. Each property gets its own **unique tracking ID**.

You would create a **separate property** for each to ensure data is collected independently. This way, you can track performance, user behavior, and conversions for each store without any overlap.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Property setup

1. Enter your property name (e.g. “Your store name”)&#x20;
2. Set your reporting time zone (important for daily analytics)&#x20;
3. Choose your currency&#x20;
4. Click **Next**

<figure><img src="/files/bVpNzCMhS0pzCjYXfG8H" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Business details

1. Select **Industry category** (e.g. Business & Industrial)

<figure><img src="/files/gKEtiEGebHGPHTD5ZTST" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
We recommend Drive sales

Because Shopify is an eCommerce platform, your main goals are to:

* Track revenue
* Track the customer purchase journey
* Track add-to-cart, begin checkout, and purchase events
* Optimize your conversion rate

GA4 will also recommend several eCommerce-specific reports when you select this objective.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Data collection

Please read Google's terms and policies carefully, then click **Accept** to complete creating a GA4 Property
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Step 4: Set Up a Data Stream

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Choose a platform

Choose Web as your platform

<figure><img src="/files/YBUSkQQvuyCyNh8r6Xbq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Set up data stream <a href="#slider-panel-3" id="slider-panel-3"></a>

1. Enter your Shopify store’s URL (use your custom domain, e.g. <https://yourstore.com>)
2. Name your stream (e.g. “Main Store Stream”)

<figure><img src="/files/70JANQ69zSjfPon8GWKt" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Start collecting data

Click **Next** to complete the setup steps and navigate to the Google Analytics home page

<figure><img src="/files/huJ5LNm4Re4Hhob5cjfD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### **Enable Ecombe Analytics**

Open the Ecombe app, go to **Preferences** > **Analytics** > **Enable** **Ecombe Analytics** then\
select the Google account you created earlier in Step 2 for tracking and measurement.

<figure><img src="/files/ZooGP3jqt9e80YnxdHIB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **Configure Ecombe Analytics**

1. Select your **Account**&#x20;
2. Select your **Property**&#x20;
3. Select your **Data Stream**&#x20;
4. Click **Select** to complete the setup

<figure><img src="/files/Rc5pDHZ8pfgpQ3GDZrcl" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## How to Verify Your Setup Is Working

After completing the configuration, you can verify that Ecombe has successfully connected to the correct Account, Property, and Data Stream by clicking **View GA connections**.

The system will display your **Connection history**.

Check the latest connection entry — if it shows the **Connected** tag, Ecombe is successfully linked to your Google Analytics account.

<figure><img src="/files/l33yfXACaG8oJaDkkTBa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Frequently Asked Questions

#### **Why do I need to connect Google Analytics to my store?**

Ecombe relies on tracking data collected by Google Analytics to calculate page performance, run A/B testing, and generate analytics reports. Without this connection, Ecombe cannot track user behavior or provide accurate insights.

#### **Does Ecombe collect my sales or personal data?**

No. Ecombe does **not** collect sales data, customer personal information, or order details.\
Ecombe only uses behavioral tracking data already collected by Google Analytics (such as page views, clicks, scrolls) to generate analytics and testing results.

#### **I connected Google Analytics to Ecombe, but I’m not seeing any data. What should I do?**

If you have connected successfully but no data is appearing:

* GA4 may take **up to 24 hours** to begin recording data.
* Ensure your **tracking tag is properly installed** on all pages.
* Confirm you selected the **correct GA4 property and data stream** during setup.
* Check whether Google Analytics is receiving any traffic by using **Realtime reports**.

If you still don’t receive data, please [contact our support team](/getting-started/setup-and-quick-start/contact-support) for assistance.

## Ecombe Analytics, what’s that?

Ecombe Analytics lets you view your page's performance and how Ecombe pages can help you grow your business and increase sales. By visualizing metrics, you can get an overview of your page's performance and see how it changes over time. This information can help you make better business decisions.

## What can Ecombe Analytics do?

Ecombe Analytics helps you track the performance of each page by providing real user-behavior data. Based on metrics such as Add to Cart, Product Views, Visitors, Sessions, Top Products, and Heat Map, Page Analytics allows you to:

  Track Add to Cart behavior to see whether your page effectively drives users closer to purchase.
* **Analyze traffic and user return frequency**

  Visitors and Sessions help you understand traffic quality and how often users come back.

## Best Practices for Page Analytics

Some tips from our experts to help you use Analytics more effectively

#### **1. Use Heat Map data to optimize layout placement**

Use Heat Map insights to identify which areas of the page receive the most attention. Place important elements, such as CTAs, key product information, or promotional banners in high-interaction zones to improve engagement and conversions.

#### **2. Focus on top-performing products identified by Add to Cart**

The “Top 5 Products by Add to Cart” metric helps you quickly identify which products attract the most interest. Prioritize these items in your layout, highlight them in promotions, or feature them more prominently to maximize impact.

#### **3. Monitor Add to Cart and Product Views to understand user behavior**

Track how often users view products and add them to cart to evaluate how effectively your page influences purchase intent. Patterns in these metrics can guide decisions on layout adjustments, content improvements, or product positioning.

#### **4. Avoid making decisions based on small data samples**

Metrics such as Add to Cart, Product Views, Visitors, and Sessions require sufficient data to reflect real user behavior. Avoid drawing conclusions when the dataset is too small, as it may produce misleading insights.

Aim to collect **at least 500 Sessions** to ensure your analysis is objective and statistically meaningful.

# How to create and run A/B tests to optimize page

## Overview

This guide introduces **Ecombe A/B Testing** and walks you through how to create an A/B test to determine which page version delivers better results. You’ll learn the purpose of A/B testing, how to enable it, and how to interpret test results to optimize your store’s performance effectively.

## Ecombe A/B testing, what is that?

Ecombe A/B testing is a simple but powerful method for comparing two versions of a page. It helps you understand which version performs better in driving user actions such as clicks, add to cart, product views, or conversions.&#x20;

In this test, traffic is split between two versions: Version A (the original) and version B (the variation). By measuring user behavior, you can make data-driven decisions to improve your store.

For example, you can test two different “Add to Cart” button colors to see which one receives more clicks. This method reduces guesswork and increases your chances of improving sales and engagement.

## What can Ecombe A/B testing do?

Ecombe A/B Testing allows you to evaluate and compare different page variations to understand which version delivers the best performance. With this feature, you can:

* **Test page performance across different devices**&#x20;

  Run separate tests for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile to to analyze behavior on each device.
* **Measure key performance metrics**&#x20;

  Track essential behavioral and conversion metrics, including Add to cart rate; Click rate; Product view rate; Conversion rate.
* **Test by visitor type**&#x20;

  Choose which audience segment will participate in the experiment: All visitors, New visitors, Returning visitors. This helps you testing and understanding of the behavior of specific target groups.
* **Control traffic distribution:**&#x20;

  Assign a specific percentage of traffic to each variant to test evenly or to prioritize certain versions.
* **Automatically apply the winning variant**&#x20;

  When the test concludes, the system can automatically set the best-performing version as the final page design.

## Why A/B testing is important for Shopify merchants

A/B Testing is essential for Shopify merchants who want to optimize store performance without relying on assumptions. Without A/B Testing, your pages are exposed to lost sales, inconsistent user experiences, and guess-based decisions.

With A/B Testing, you gain:

* **Data-driven insights**

  Make confident decisions based on real shopper behavior, not assumptions.
* **Higher conversion rates**

  Identify which layout, product presentation, or call-to-action generates more engagement and sales.
* **Smarter, faster growth**

  Continuously improve your store by testing ideas, discovering what works, and automatically applying winning versions.

A/B Testing empowers Shopify merchants to turn every page into a high-performing, revenue-driving asset.

## Enable Ecombe A/B testing to track page conversion

Ecombe A/B testing uses data from Google Analytics (GA4) to calculate and analyze metrics. You need to enable Ecombe Analytics in order to set up and track page performance. If you have already enabled Ecombe Analytics, you can skip this step. If not, please refer to [this guide](https://help.ecombe.com/editor-and-functions/store-optimization/enable-ecombe-analytics) and continue setting up Analytics.

## Best Practices for A/B testing

#### Step 1: Collect (and analyze) data

The goal of this step is to identify pages with issues such as high bounce rate, drop-off rate, low add to cart, or low conversions. You can use [Ecombe Analytics](/editor-and-functions/store-optimization/analytics) to collect data and identify issue.

#### Step 2: Define the direction and goals of the test

For example, increasing website traffic, raising conversion rate, lowering bounce rate, or reducing cart abandonment.

#### Step 3: Form a hypothesis

List ideas and hypotheses for A/B testing. For example: moving a signup box to the top left may increase registrations, changing the button color may increase clicks, etc.

#### Step 4: Determine sample size and test duration

Typically, you can test with at least 500 sessions and 10 target events to make a prediction.

#### Step 5: Create the new version for A/B testing

The new version should change only **one variable** to ensure clear comparison and conclusions about its impact on the goal defined in Step 2.

#### Step 6: Analyze results and conclude

If the new version performs better, apply the change. If not, continue testing further to find the winning version.

## FAQ

**1. What happens when an A/B test ends?**

When you create an A/B testing campaign, the system asks whether you want to “Auto-apply winner after test ends.”

* If you choose **“Yes, set the winner as main page,”** the system automatically applies the winning version as the main page.
* If you choose **“No, keep the original page as main,”** the system allows you to decide manually.

**2. What is the difference between Visitors and Sessions?**

Although both measure traffic, **Sessions** and **Visitors** track completely different things.

* **Visitors:** the number of unique people who visit your page. One person counts as **1 visitor**, even if they visit multiple times.&#x20;

  Example: 1 person visits 3 times → still **1 visitor**.
* **Sessions:** One **visit/session** to your page, starting when the user opens the page and ending when they leave. One visitor can create **multiple sessions**.&#x20;

  Example: 1 person visits in the morning and again in the afternoon → **2 sessions**
