# How to use Ecombe

## **How to Install Ecombe**

If you have already installed the app, you can skip this step and move to the next section.

If not, visit [**Ecombe.com**](https://ecombe.com) and click **Start with free plan now**. You will be redirected to the Shopify App Store to install Ecombe on your store.\

## **How to Access Ecombe**

In your **Shopify Admin**, go to:

**Apps → Ecombe Builder**

You will then be redirected to the **Ecombe Dashboard**.

## **Ecombe Menu Navigation**

After accessing Ecombe, the Shopify sidebar will show the following menu:

#### **Welcome Dashboard**

Includes plan & usage, recently edited pages, support channels, and change logs.&#x20;

## **Get Started with Ecombe**

### **1. Complete the Guiding Tasks**

On the Ecombe Dashboard, complete four quick tasks to get started:

1. View a quick introduction about Ecombe
2. Enter your store password
3. Enable the Ecombe Theme Helper
4. Create your first page

### **2. Get Familiar with Key Editor Features**

Below are the essential features of the Ecombe Editor so you can understand how everything works.

#### **Left Sidebar**

1. **Page Content:** displays all content within the page.
2. **Performance & SEO:** measure page performance and SEO metrics.
3. **A/B Testing:** create and manage A/B testing campaigns.
4. **Assignment:** assign templates to products, collections, blogs, or blog posts.
5. **Save Version:** save versions and restore previous edits when needed.
6. **Page Settings** configure page title, URL, and other page settings.

#### **Top Center Bar**

1. **Template version A/B:** independently edit version A and B for A/B testing (Only appears when you create an A/B testing campaign)
2. **Live Translation:** translate your page directly inside the Editor.
3. **Multi-market Support:** create and customize layouts for each market.

#### **Top Left Bar**

1. **Inspector:** The Inspector toggles element settings on or off, helping you focus your design when needed.
2. **Editing Mode:** switch between desktop, tablet, mobile or view in full screen.&#x20;
3. **Redo & Undo:** full control to correct mistakes or restore previous changes.
4. **Publish Button:** publish your page to the storefront.

In addition to the features above, to help you have a better experience during the editing process, we provide an additional dropdown menu including:

1. **Preview:** preview page on Storefront without affecting the live page.
2. **View live:** view the current page displayed on Storefront.
3. **Export and Import:** export and import Ecombe page.

### **3. Edit, Save and Publish**&#x20;

Click any element inside a section to **Edit** your page then click **Save** to store your changes. Once saved, you can **Preview** the page to see how it appears on your storefront without affecting the live page.

Click **Publish** to make the page live.

## **Page Statuses and Their Meanings**

Understanding page statuses helps you manage your content efficiently:

#### **Published**

A live page visible to store visitors.\
If you edit a published page:

* Click **Save and Publish** to update the live version
* Clicking **Save** only updates the preview version

#### **Unpublished**

Your page is not visible to customers.\
Use this status for pages still in progress or pages you don’t want to show publicly yet.

## **Frequently Asked Questions**

#### I can't see the page after publishing it?

After publishing your Ecombe landing page, if you can't find it in your Shopify store, you need to link it to your Shopify navigation. Please check this [article](/faq-and-troubleshooting/common-issues/ecombe-page-not-showing-on-storefront.md).

#### How many page can I create in Ecombe?

Ecombe allows you to create numerous pages, but the number you can publish depends on your chosen plan.

For instance, the Free plan lets you publish 1 page or section (equivalent to 1 slot). Upgrading to the 10-slot plan grants you the ability to publish 10 pages or sections.

#### How many type of pages can I create in Ecombe?

Ecombe support **seven page type**: Landing page; Homepage; Product page; Collection page; Blog page; Blog post page; Shopify Section.

#### **Can I restore Shopify Default Homepage after publish Ecombe Homepage?**

#### **What is different between home page and landing page (regular page)?**
